The 6th Annual Battle In Seattle

The Battle In Seattle Tournament July 7th-9th will include the top HS teams in the NW and is a certified event through Indi Hoops. We welcome local and out of teams to participate in order help prepare for the busy travel season in July. This is the 6th annual Battle In Seattle and has proven to be one of the best events because of the closely matched teams, friendly games, and the best venues in in Western WA.

8th Grade Team Knocks Off #2 Team in the Nation

Seattle Select Warriors 14u 8th grade team knocks off the #2 team in the nation Team Thrill from Maryland at the Adidas Presidents Day Tournament of Champions which is rated the best tournament in America by Slam Magazine. Congrats to the 8th grade team for making it to the Elite 8.

Seattle Select 2023 6th grade team wins the Washington Youth Sports AAU Veterans Day Tournament

The newest team to the Seattle Select program is the 6th grade Seattle Select 2023 team. They have been working hard all Fall and their hard work has paid off by playing tough, smart, team basketball. “Coach Zac Townsend and I are very happy with the progress and team work. They play hard defense and want to make the right plays for each other. We are really looking forward to seeing this team evolve this year” – Coach Chase Young

NW High Academic Camp 3.5 GPA or Higher

Ryan Silver (West Coast Elite President) and Chase Young put together a sold out camp of 140 elite student athletes from the Northwest. The 3.5GPA min requirement is what attracted the tremendous support from high academic colleges from the West coast. Coaches from Caltech, Redlands, Occidental, UPS, Chapman, Lewis and Clark, Linfield, George Fox, Whitman, Willamette, and many others attended and coached teams during the camp. Campers received shooting instruction from UW legend Donald Watts, conditioning from professional trainer Tim Manson, and multiple games each day where they could showcase their talent in front of college coaches.

NW BigTime Hoops “2016 Adidas Spring Challenge” 15u Champs!!!

Seattle Select 2019 won their pool, beat NW Panthers, and then beat Drive Elite in the semis. In the championship they played against Powerhouse Hoops from Arizona who is a nationally recognized team and program. Seattle Select 2019 was able to pull off the 74-60 win. The Seattle Select Warriors 2021 played up in the 8th grade division and made it all the way to the championship game against Rotary’s top 8th grade.

Seattle Select 2021 Nationally Ranked #2

AAU Power Ranking site Coast2CoastPreps.com has just released their 7th grade national rankings and have our Seattle Select Warriors ranked 2nd in the Nation.

This is inspirational to our young players, but we must stay hungry and humble. 7th Graders are gearing up to compete against the #1 ranked team in the upcoming Coca-Cola Nationals in Anaheim this June.

2016 “Best In The West” Tournament in Yakima

The 9th grade Seattle Select 2019 make it to the finals in Best in the West tournament last weekend in Yakima. They won 5 straight but lost in the championship game against the Spokane Griffins.

Seattle Select 2019 3.53 Cumulative Team GPA

The Seattle Select 2019 is a one of the premier freshmen teams in the NW and they are all dedicated to the classroom. It’s rare to have one of the most talented teams in the west coast that has the grades that this team does. We could not be more proud to have these student-athletes represent us on a national level. All players have received invitations to the West Coast and Northwest High Academic Showcase Camps this Summer and Fall to play in front high academic D1, D2, and D3 coaches and scouts.

“We are getting a lot of attention from the college coaches because of their GPA, more than the fact that they can dunk on guys and hit 3’s. Their competitiveness in the classroom shows a lot about their character and college coaches want the athletes who have proven their abilities to manage time, prioritize, and work hard in school. Players with high GPAs exhibit these qualities. College coaches are blown away when they see this explosive team knowing they all have the grades to pass through their admissions.” – Coach Chase Young

Seattle Select Warriors 2021 Going to u13 AAU Nationals in Charlotte, NC

The 7th grade Seattle Select Warriors 2021 won their district championships in March to give them a birth at the 13u AAU Nationals in Charlotte North Carolina this July. Guard Keyshawn Douglas hit the game winner and got the final steal in the championship against Rotary. Fund raising has begun to help get the team to the east coast and players have their eyes on the prize.

This was an awesome accomplishment and the boys showed a lot of heart on defense to win the last two games to get their bid to the AAU National Tournament.” – Coach Chase Young
