Seattle Select Joins the UAA
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with all of our Seattle Select families. With great gratitude and appreciation, we are proud to announce that Seattle Select has been officially promoted to the Under Armour Association (UAA).
This milestone has been a long time coming. When I started Seattle Select in 2015, after 10 years directing at Emerald City Basketball, the vision was simple: to build a program that promoted basketball at all levels, with a true focus on academic excellence, high character, player development, and college placement.
Over these 10 years, that vision has been brought to life by countless loyal players, dedicated coaches, and supportive families. Our teams have competed nationally and represented the Northwest with pride, earning respect through hard work, professional coaching, and winning consistency. After three successful years competing on the Under Armour Rise Circuit, we’ve now earned the opportunity to join the Under Armour Association, the top level of competition featuring the best high school players in the nation.
The progress we’ve made on the UA Rise Circuit over the past three years is a reflection of the loyalty and hard work of players like Davis Fogle (Gonzaga), Cam Hiatt (Dartmouth), Landen Birley (Idaho State), Joseph Lee (Le Moyne), Leyton Martin (Biola), Carter Cohen (Lehigh), Malcolm Clark (Air Force), Jason Dollar (Cal Baptist) and many others who built their legacy as part of Seattle Select.
Our coaching staff is truly the backbone of this program. They put their heart and soul into developing student-athletes the right way. A special thank you to our team and training directors Gadisa Margarsa, Badhasa Margarsa, Junior Chibuogwu, Genia Taylor, and Gregg Kalina, who have been with me since the beginning.
To our families, thank you. Your belief and continued support have allowed us to build something special together. Through our Forrest Ward Scholarship Program, we’ve now been able to award over $1 million in scholarships, helping families who’ve shown leadership, character, and commitment to their communities.
We’re incredibly grateful to be recognized on a national level and to represent the Pacific Northwest with pride. This moment belongs to every coach, player, and family who has ever worn the Seattle Select uniform.
